First Aid
Our training centres in the beautiful city of Bristol and the vibrant marina in Portishead, allow us to run a variety of first aid courses suitable for both the leisure and commercial worlds. We can also run First Aid courses at your location. For the marine world, we have the RYA First Aid, for those working outdoors we have the Outdoor First Aid, and for those in the workplace, we have HSE First Aid at Work. All meet the regulatory standards of either the RYA or HSE.

What Qualifications Can I Do?
RYA First Aid
This course is aimed at anyone who gets afloat. This course fulfils the requirements needed for professional skippers working up to 60 miles offshore, Boat Masters, ISAF offshore racers and are recommended by the MCA and HSE.Outdoor First Aid
The Level 3 Outdoor First Aid course is focused on people working or doing activities in remote locations. This course is often attended by loan workers and outdoor activity instructors/enthusiasts. The Level 3 Outdoor First Aid course also fulfils the requirements of the First Aid element of the expedition syllabus.First Aid at Work
The HSE First Aid at Work course is focused on people working within a work environment whether that is a construction site or an office based location. This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.Catastrophic Bleeding
This course provides learners with guidance on catastrophic bleeding control, including dealing with the inherent dangers associated with the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings whilst administering First Aid in a high-risk working environment.First Aid for Mental Health
Learners undertaking the First Aid for Mental Health will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition.
RYA First Aid
The RYA First Aid course covers areas including drowning, cold water shock, seasickness, dehydration, and hypothermia. This course is aimed at anyone who gets afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries, or on cross-channel passages. Immediate action in an emergency at sea can save lives. This course fulfills the requirements needed for professional skippers working up to 60 miles offshore, Boat Masters, and ISAF offshore racers and is recommended by the MCA and HSE.
Outdoor First Aid
This course covers how to tend to a casualty, how to move a casualty, major illnesses and injuries, and managing an unresponsive casualty when professional medical help is not immediately available. This course is often attended by loan workers and outdoor activity instructors/enthusiasts. The Level 3 Outdoor First Aid course also fulfils the requirements of the First Aid element of the expedition syllabus and is suitable for the Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards.
First Aid at Work
The HSE First Aid at Work course is focused on people working within a work environment whether that is a construction site or an office based location. It covers everything you need from CPR to how to deal with an unconscious casualty. This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
First Aid for Mental Health
This course is suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.
Learners undertaking this course will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition.

Mini Medics
We have two options available for children.
Mini Medics First Aid is a basic first aid course designed for children between the ages of 7 and 11, but it can suit children of any age.
Mini Medics Mental Health is a basic mental health course designed for children between the ages of 9 and 13, but it can suit children of any age.
