BTEC - "Sailing & Watersports"
Bristol Maritime Academy are proud to present this unique course for the outdoor enthusiasts. This is an alternative route in education for those aged 16+ wishing to gain formal qualifications in water based activities.
On completing the course you will be equipped with a BTEC Level 2 & 3 in “Sailing and Watersports” giving you the skills for your next step in the marine industry. We will offer both hands-on and theory based training at our HQ in Bristol and this provides students with practical, real-world skills for working in the marine industry.
The BTEC Level 2 & 3 "Sailing and Watersports" is a 2 year full time course carried out during term time over two days per week, and upon completion the students receive qualifications that are tailored to their chosen career path.
We equipping students with the necessary skills and experience to start their journey into the watersports and maritime industry with the opportunity to work globally.
At least C grade GCSEs in English & Maths.
No previous experience required, just a passion for watersports and outdoor adventure.
Industrial Working Course
The Industrial working near water & Safety boat course is a complete package for companies and organisations whose staff work from boats covering safety and accessing Britain’s waterways.
This 5 day course would meet with environmental agencies contractor criteria as well as national governing body standards and upon completion the candidates would receive a RYA Powerboat Level Two certificate after completing 2 days of bespoke training with specific elements related to the job role.
They would also receive their Defra compliant module 1 working near water course meeting the environmental agencies working criteria and a Health & Safety Executive Compliant First Aid certificate. This is ideal for the outdoor lone worker and which deals with working in isolation whilst working in the outdoor environment.
