The Bristol Maritime Academy are proud to present unique courses offering outdoor enthusiasts a direct route to university or employment in the outdoor and watersports industry. This is an alternative route in education for those aged 16+ wishing to gain formal qualifications in water based activities.
Our courses are fully OFSTED and once completing the course you would be equipped with a BTEC Level 3 in “Water based Management” giving you the skills for your next step in education or employment in the marine industry.
The Bristol Maritime Academy will offer both hands-on and theory based training at our HQ in Bristol and this provides students with practical, real-world skills for working in the marine industry for candidates from a range of ages & abilities. BTECs give students the skills they need to either move on to higher education or go straight into employment.
The BTEC Level 3 Water Based Management Sport is a 2 year full time course carried out during term time over two days per week, and upon completion the students receive a qualification that is tailored to the career path that they wish to pursue and equivalent to 3 standard A-Levels which would potentially have no practical connection to the marine industry.
The Bristol Maritime Academy is dedicated to equipping students with the necessary skills and experience to start their journey towards university or employment and through these qualifications the opportunity to work in a global exciting market.
