This in depth course covering boat handling, high speed manoeuvres, man overboard recovery and collision regulations and is the most popular course within the RYA Powerboat Scheme as introduces people to powerboating in close quarters but also at high speed.
The course takes place in Bristol’s historic floating harbour with slow speed manoeuvring, this gives powerboat drivers the opportunity to drive in to the centre of Bristol by boat and practice mooring at the many pontoons and landings around the harbour (it is also good for sightseeing locations such as the SS Great Britain and the M-shed).
The RYA Powerboat level 2 course can be taken inland and your certificate will be endorsed accordingly. The International Certificate of Competence or “ICC” is essential if a boat owner or charterer requires evidence of competence when visiting another European country.
If you are planing to go to France make sure that you also have your CEVNI licence too.
