The RYA First Aid course is a 1-day course which covers all the general HSE first aid requirements, however, the RYA First Aid is more specific to water users and anyone working in or around water. The course covers areas including drowning, cold water shock, sea sickness, dehydration and hypothermia.

It’s only a one-day course but it could save yours or a crew members life. This course is aimed at anyone who gets afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or on cross channel passages. Immediate action in an emergency at sea can save lives.

This course fulfils the requirements needed for professional skippers working up to 60 miles offshore, Boat Masters, ISAF offshore racers and is recommended by the MCA and HSE. RYA or HSE First Aid Courses can be held at our Bristol HQ or for groups, in a local venue more suitable for you. Our trainers have a wealth of knowledge and experience and will ensure that the training is both current and memorable. These courses will assist all that take them in dealing with unexpected accidents and emergencies.

At current, due to COVID-19, there are some changes to the normal running of this course. This includes student screening, the supply and use of PPE, social distancing, and enhanced hygiene protocols. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
